C72900 (UNS number of the United States) is a copper-nickel-tin alloy, belonging to the precipitation hardening type material. It possesses excellent strength, corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance.
The C72900 copper products we produce eliminate all kinds of defects such as pores and cracks. We have independently developed a variety of new C72900 copper products, with each piece weighing up to 1300 kilograms.
The chemical composition of C72900 is as follows:
· Nickel (Ni): 14.5 - 15.5%
· Tin (Sn): 7.5 - 8.5%
· Copper (Cu): Minor amount
Copper and specified elements: 99.90%
· Other elements: Maximum 0.10%
C72900 is a spinodal hardening type copper-nickel-tin alloy (Copper-Nickel-Tin Spinodal Alloy). Through a unique Spinodal decomposition strengthening mechanism, it achieves environmentally friendly without beryllium while maintaining superior performance comparable to beryllium copper. It is widely regarded as an ideal substitute for beryllium copper.
International standards: ASTM B740, AMS 4597 (aviation material standard)
High strength: Through cold processing and aging treatment, the tensile strength can reach over 900 MPa, comparable to that of some steel materials.
Corrosion resistance: Exhibits excellent performance in seawater and chemical environments, and is resistant to stress corrosion cracking (superior to ordinary bronze).
Electrical/thermal conductivity: Retains the excellent electrical conductivity of copper alloys (approximately 15%-20% of pure copper), suitable for electronic components.
Wear resistance: The high tin content makes it suitable for friction components such as bearings and gears.
